At its best, drawing is creative play, a fast, generous way to tell stories, test ideas and discover what you didn't know you wanted to make. In this workshop, Bill Hope shares his path from commercial illustration into children's publishing, and the lessons he's learned about collaboration, writing and creative ideation along the way.
In the second half of the session, you'll put pen to paper with some of the drawing exercises Bill has developed with Andy Griffiths for their new book on creativity, titled Let's Go!
You'll leave with practical ways to get students drawing and inventing stories in ways that are fast, loose and full of fun.

Bill is an artist and illustrator living in the Blue Mountains. After 10 years as a commercial illustrator working with everyone from Disney to Amazon, Bill is now focused on a career in children's publishing.
