About the Session

About the Session

In this class you will develop drawing/painting skills, using ink.  Working with this medium in a contemporary context we will cover a range of techniques including washes, layering and choices of brushes and paper.

Ink is a challenging medium where many accidents and errors occur. Rather than discarding these ‘mistakes’ you will embrace them to further abstract imagery, thus focusing on the painting as a whole. You will learn to utilise mistakes to explore the paint without the confines of direct representation.
